Teaching practice

I need to say that I have never dreamed about becoming a teacher. So, how it happened that I am studying in the college now? I think that I simply couldn't decide about what to choose: tourism or English. I was interested in both.

I would like to tell you about a situation that happened two weeks ago. I went for the first time to the primary school to observe the lessons. During one of the lessons the teacher got a message from the headmaster. She had to go to the office so she asked me to conduct the rest of the lesson. I was surprised and scared at first. Why? First of all, I didn't know the students at all, I didn't know the material (fortunately, the teacher gave me some instructions about what should I do during the lesson)... Now, I think that this experience gave me a little bit more self-confidence in teaching because the lesson (30minutes without preparation) was successful.

I don't think I will work as a teacher in future. But if I don't have any other possibilities (not connected with tourism) I will take teaching into account.

KARPACZ

I would like to share with you my memories (photos) from this year New Year's Eve.

This year I ,together with my fiance and my brother and his girlfriend, spent 5 days in Karpacz. We wanted to try skiing for the first time in our lives. I was a little bit afraid actually as I did not want to come home with a broken leg or something like that;) But everything was great! I can say that I like skiing, it's a great sport...... I was amazed when I saw little children (about 5 years old) skiing so fast while I was barely standing (at the beginning).

I'm planning the next trip to Karpacz (maybe this winter, who knows). I encourage everybody to winter sports!!!

Christmas memories

CHRISTMAS

I always liked Christmas, this time of the year was magic for me. The snow, the lights everywhere......It made an incredible atmosphere.

When I go back to Christmas from my childhood, I see a big green Christmas tree and my mother hurrying to finish cooking. I liked helping her with baking as there were plenty of possibilities to sneak something. Then I remember that I with my two younger brothers tried to find our Christmas presents but it was impossibile as they were really well hidden.

We always spent Christmas Eve with my gran
dmother, aunt and uncle in Milicz (60km from the place where I live). So, my Christmas were also connected with travelling to Milicz through the snowy roads. Now we go to Milicz on the first day after Christmas Eve because I and my brothers are adults and there is also my little brother- Igor- who really needs a lot of space to run and play ( 2years old);)

What I remember best from Christmas are presents.
I couldn't wait for Santa Claus....As we were children my parents asked a neighbour to dress as a Santa and give us presents. It was wonderfull... In one of the photographs you can notice my happiness......Once I thought Santa forgot my present as I was given it as the last person. I was quite nervous....

Now I have no possibility to feel the Christmas atmosphere......I miss it a lot.
